Morning Everyone,

Feel I'm being really pathetic, but I have a really bad cold, chesty cough which hurts every time I cough & back ache. Now hubby is telling me not to go to work and to go to the Dr's, I know we have to be careful but not sure if I'm a bit pathetic.

I've only been back in work for two weeks & on shorter hours! Probably didn't help that the bus was 45 minutes late the other day! Sad

There is so much work at the mo & I haven't really caught up from being off. I cried in work yesterday, luckily only my best friend saw.

I have a Dr's appt at 8.50, so maybe I could go to work after anyway.

Fed up of being ill!Sad

Lou xx

Lou

Sorry to hear you're not well. I know all too well the stiuation where there's so much work to do and catch up on. The wait ofr the bus in this weather owuldn't have helped either. No. you're not being pathetic- we rhummies do have to be careful. Please go and get checked out. It might just be a chest cold but on the other hand it might be a chest infection and it's better to be on the safe side. I always go to my gp if I'm in that situation -it's often not a chest infection but you can never tell. I can apprecaite that you've only just gone back to work and I can't comment on your personal situation, but I gradually learned that looking after my health is my priority. Not always easy, I know.
Look after yourself and keep warm- sending you warm hugs

No certainly not being pathetic- our compromised immune systems mean thet we have to take these things more seriously than other people. Perhaps a sick note would be a good idea and then either obtain NRAS's leaflet http://www.nras.org.uk/h...x?id=a0B80000005CJTZEA4 explaing these things to employers or maybe download some info which will explain to your employers why it is different for you than it is for other folk because of your RA.
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hi ya

Listen, get to the gp after hours and explain you are immuno surpressed
It's enormous what you are asking your body to do- its trying its best to tackle the ra, manage work, life and now a chesty cough.

Much love

Hi Lou - hope you're feeling a bit less chesty now. Do take extra care of yourself - with RA it is important that you listen to your body and take note of when you're feeling rough, and take appropriate action - and that includes plenty of rest!

Best wishes - Sylvia xx
